
Lake Walk is currently seeking an entrepreneurial and creative Community Events Assistant Coordinator to join our evolving team. This position offers the chance to play a supporting role in the preparation, execution, and promotion of The Local and other Special Event campaigns. This role will be hands-on in the physical and digital presence of Lake Walk events and programming. Within the department, you can expect to be a part of a dynamic team adapting campaign plans to community goals and strategizing on program development for future campaigns. The ideal candidate is an energetic, creative individual with a passion for hospitality and a desire to create memorable experiences.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Event Coordination: Assist in planning, development, and execution of event campaigns during various states of weather
Vendor Coordination: Assist in vendor communication and relations as related ot The Local and other Special Events
Venue Coordination: Communicate with potential venue clients to determine event needs and draft BEOs
Partner Communications: Collaborate with internal teams, external marketing agencies, and retail tenants to review event marketing materials and activations for accuracy
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be able to lift and carry at least 25 lbs occasionally
Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid driver’s license
Must be able to provide a high school diploma or GED equivalent upon request
Must live in the Bryan-College Station, TX area, or be willing to commute
Recommended Skills & Proficiencies:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with Google Business Suite, Asana (or other project management software), and Jotform
Experience, education, or certification in the fields of events, retail, or hospitality
Training:
Provided by Community Coordinator
30-day program consisting of digital lesson plans, in-office training sessions, and in-person events
